TO KEEP A LARGE ROUND OBJECT FROM TURNING WHILE YOU APPLY TORQUE THIS IS GREAT.I HAVE USED IT ON CRANKSHAFT PULLEYS,OUTBOARD FLYWHEELS AND PICKLE JARS.BEING A RUBBER STRAP IT IS EASY ON SOFT OR BRITTLE SURFACES SUCH AS GLASS OR ALUMINUM.HOWEVER IF SHOCK IS NEEDED TO BREAK SOMETHING LOOSE THIS WILL NOT WORK AS THE RUBBER STRAP ABSORBS SUDDEN SHOCK.IN SUCH INSTANCES A CHAIN BASED WRENCH IS NEEDED.

I needed a strapwrench for some specific workarounds i was doing, and asked for one for christmas....mama went to sears and bought a $12 one, broke first time using. So i ordered this one from Amazon after reading the good reviews
NICE TOOL ! the strap is 3 times thicker than the craftsman, and long enough to go around a 10" object.
Havent found the circumstance yet where i had to go to a chainwrench, but im sure i will eventually
If you need a good rubber strap wrench, i dont think you can go wrong with this one, provided they dont change the design, cheepen the materials for the strap, etc

Although it is a bit bigger than I wanted. I absolutely love this strap wrench. It is absolutely solid construction and should easily last many life times. This gave me all the leverage I needed to accompish many tasks that I otherwise would have had to outsource. It was a gift for Christmas and I more than thanked the giver.
