Has worked well for me. Battery life has been good. The radio has good reception and the LED light is great for emergency purposes.

The last reviewer said they got only minutes of use for the crank charge, well its been over 2 hours and 18 minutes and my radio is still playing from a 30 second charge, so their must of been defective.

The unit could be a little smaller, but not bad for the size. A radio, flash light and emergency alert siren.

Notes its SPLASH PROOF not WATER PROOF, so put it in a zip lock on a camping trip. I recommend it as a spare radio that doesnt need batteries and it pickup stations good.

I bought this product so I could take it in the backyard and listen to music while I was doing pool exercises. When I received it, the product is no bigger than my hand! And, I thought, OK, I will have it in case of an emergency, since it has a hand crank that is supposed to last 1 hour if you crank it for 30 seconds or more.

So, here I am, cranking away, delighted to hear my favorite country station, and the sound faded away after a few minutes! I re-read the instructions, to make sure I did it correctly, and still had problems.

So, my advice is, if you want to use this product for more than a few minutes at a time, don't buy it!

It does have an option for another power source, but it does not come with it. It also does not have an option for batteries.
