This is a must have if traveling with a 12V Thermoelectric Cooler, or any 12 volt appliance that you will need when out of your vehicle. That could be for a overnight motel stay or for an extended stay without a direct 12V power source. All you need is a 110 volt wall outlet. This converter is compatible with B&G cooler's, but will also work with most other coolers and 12V appliances provided they don't have over a 6 amp power draw. This works well for pre cooling your cooler before putting it in your vehicle. Good price on this compared to the other converters out there.

This adapter provides the power for their thermoelectric cooler. It does the job adequately and is quite useful for getting the cooler cooled down prior to travel. An excellent product.

I purchased this to use with a 12V floor jack that is designed to plug into a car's cigarette lighter socket. I needed something with enough current to power the jack which I use to lift my car to change/rotate tires. I use this in my garage plugged into the wall outlet in order to avoid draining the car's battery. This unit gets warm when it's in use but not hot. It has a lot of vents on the case to allow heat out and also a green power LED and very long power cord. If you have a 12V device that can only be plugged into a car's lighter socket, this product will come in handy.
