We purchased this Intex Pool Filter, and have been very happy with it. It does the job so much better than the one we had. With the kit pools, they send a smaller filter that works, but this one is more powerful and cleans much quicker. The company also calls to make sure you get exactly what you wanted-thats a plus too.

Last summer (08)I purchased a 18x52 pool at CostCo. It came with a totally inadequate pump. (Intex 635 ) I went through at least 20 A type filters and no mater how many times Skimmed, cleaned, shocked and chlorinated there was a slimy film on the floor and sides of the pool. The replacement pump that I ordered is outstanding. all I can say is WOW!! I can actually see the water moving. I have it set on a timer, let it cycle for 2-3 hour and the water is crystal clear. I tested the water today and no bacteria found. AWESOME pump!!!!!

We have the 4' X 18' Intex pool and the pump that came with it always seemed to struggle trying to keep up. After a few years we decided to try this larger filter/pump. We're glad we did. This filter/pump keeps the pool clean and clear. It has a larger filter and really moves the water. It's been over two weeks and I haven't had to vacuum the bottom yet. I do keep the pool covered when it's not being used.

It's a new filter/pump (not refurbished). Very strong pump. The included hoses attached directly to the plunger valves that came with the pool.
