The Olympus MAUSB-500 USB Reader/Writer can read and write images, data, audio and movies from xD-Picture cards, quickly, with its USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface. It easily plugs into the USB port on your computer and does not require batteries or AC power, since it draws power right from the USB port. The Reader/Writer is compatible with all types of xD-Picture cards (Standard, Type-M & Type-H; up to 2GB capacity) and works with both Windows and Macintosh Systems without any need for installing drivers or other software.

this is a nice little device. Insert your memory card into the reader and then your computers USB port. That's it, there's not much more to it than that. For years I was pluging my cameras into the PC to move my photos from the cameras memory card to my PC. Of course, needlessly using your cameras battery life. With this reader, you no longer have to deal with the cables or wasting your cameras battery. I always take mine with me on vacation. It's so convienent. I strongly recammend it to anyone with a digital camera.

I bought this card reader to replace a Fuji XD reader that I gave my daughter. The Fuji is better in a number of ways. First of all, the Fuji has provision for attaching a lanyard, and secondly the Fuji has a sliding cover for the slot where the card goes in.

The Olympus seems to function OK, so no complaints in that regard.

I was looking for a replacement cord for my camera and ran across this product. I was hesitant to purchase, but now understand all the favorable reviews. This is the easiest way to download pictures to your computer. Highly recommend to everyone.
