This collection of seven interviews on 11 CDs features paratrooper Ed Boccafogli, a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division; Sgt. Vincent "Mike" McKinney, a 1st Infantry Division veteran who was one of the first, if not the first, American to land in the first was on Omaha Beach; Chuck Hurlbut, a member of the 299th Combat Engineer Battalion; Corporal Bill Pirone of the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment; Coast Guard veteran Lou Putnoky, and Exercise Tiger survivors Angelo Crapanzano and Patsy Giacchi. These interviews go far beyond the Normandy landings, and show both the dark and the light sides of war.
