This book is one of the most frightening adult sci-fi horror tales I've ever read!
It shows how racial prejudice could cause us to destroy mankind!
I wouldn't recommend this for children...unless you want the kids to have bad nightmares!
Anyway I rate this as a real page turner, but a wee bit to gory for the kiddies.

I have read over 80 books on my kindle in the past year. 95% of which I really enjoyed. I really tried with this book. I struggled with the "details to the point of boring" in the beginning, hoping it would get better. When the pilot finally landed on the planet, I thought o.k. here we go. The main problem for me was the dialog. It just did not ring true. I could not accept the characters as real and so I could not invest in the story.

Oh well, what do I know. It was on the N.Y. bestsellers list.
