If you love baking then you know of the many problems that tend to occur during the process. Slice Solutions has created a sectioner 9" Pie Pan that is sized perfectly for the pan that you place into the batter before cooking. Once cooked and cooled, the sectioner is removed and you have 8 perfect-sliced, perfectly sized pie slices! Problem 2: Removing the pie slices from the pan is not easy, even with a small turner you tend to crush at least the first one or two pie slices just to get into the pan. Slice Solutions has developed a pan with a removable bottom that eliminates this issue. After removing the sectioner you place the entire pan, centered, on the included wire lifting rack. In doing so, the removable bottom stays on this rack and the outer pan drops underneath allowing for you to easily use a small turner to remove the pie! You can also use sectioner as a cutter after baking is completed if desired.

I bought this item for 2 reasons. One was the price, I needed a small item to qualify for free shipping. Next I had always wanted a pie cutter, like the ones the use at resturants. I have some trouble with my hands, and after spending the time to make a pie it is a bit embaressing trying to get a perfect slice out. I was suprised to get a whole set with the cutter. The pie cutter works great, and is coated and easy to clean. The package also comes with a pie pan, and pie raiser. It makes cutting the pie more simple then just the cutter. Basically, bake the pie in the pie pan and the bottom of the bpan will lift out and you will have 8 pefect pieces of pie! The pie pan is heavy, coated and easy to clean. You can still use the pie cutter alone if you buy a store bought pie.
For what you get this a super deal, I would have paid the price for just the cutter. I'm ordering more for gifts.

In the past, the first slice of a pie has always ended up being a mess on the plate. But with this pan, you get eight or sixteen perfect slices. Yes! Sixteen slices. Have you ever gotten one of those people that wanted a really small slice? With Slice Solutions, just lift the sectioner out, then rotate it a little, and put it back again. You get sixteen really small slices!

I'm giving it only four stars because one of the clamps anchoring the sectioner to the handle was broken. At this point, doesn't affect the functionality of the product, and it would cost more in postage to send it back.
