I purchased this unit to replace the smaller weak stock filter pump that came with my 18x48 easy set pool. This unit is VERY strong! It even cleaned up the debris off the bottom without even vacuuming the pool! I highly recommend this pump to anyone tired of messing with the under powered pumps that come with the easy set pools. Caution should be used around children however, as this pump could cause a suction hazard.

We bought this for our 24'x52" above ground intex pool and it works great, we also purchased a saltwater filter. The pump that came with our pool didn't really move the water around well enough. Using this pump in conjunction with our saltwater filter has greatly reduced the amount of time used to maintain our pool.

I bought an Intex 18' x 48" pool from Walmart and was very disappointed in the 1500 gph filter pump that came with it. There was just too much pool for the pump. I upgraded to this 4000 gph pump and love it. Even the bottom of the pool stays clean. I think this pump is even more quiet than the 1500 gph pump that came with the pool. I would definitely recommend getting this item.
