Fun Camera, VERY POOR QUALITY FLASH, September 15, 2008
I purchased this camera instead of the "Kid Tough" Fisher Price camera, because my 4 yr old son was having a Donald/Mickey birthday party and I thought it would be fun for him and the kids to run around taking pics of each other especially with the added feature of adding the disney images into the pics. That part was a hit! But quality is a big factor. When the flash is used or the sun is directly on the subject they get washed out, you can barely make out who the person is. Without the flash (if the lighting is descent) the photo quality is actually pretty good. For the price I would have expected a bit better quality even if it is a kids camera, some kids take really good pictures and with this camera, they don't turn out very good because of the flash or direct sun light!
Being able to add Disney characters is a really fun feature and the software has a lot of fun stuff to play with. Bad part is that once you download the pics to the software it deletes them from the camera so the kids can't look at the pics on the camera anymore. I had given my son my old SD card so he could keep all his photos on his camera and my computer wouldn't get bogged down with his pics, but everytime we load the camera to the software it saves them to the computer and deletes them off the camera. This may be something I need to change in the preferences, but it isn't a simple "figure it out" fix as I've been trying.
Over all Fun Camera for kids ***** Five stars, Flash * one star, 4x6 print quality ****.

Great for a Photographer's Child, February 15, 2009
My daughter received this camera as a Christmas gift. She's 3 years old and learned to work it in about 10 minutes - including adding some of her favorite Disney characters to the photos ( from Little Einstein, Tigger & Pooh, Mickey, etc) The flash is very bright, but it's not a problem if the child isn't too close to the object - any flash would be bad a foot away from the subject. The picture quality is pretty good considering that the resolution is about that of a cellphone. This camera has been dropped, kicked, tossed... and it's still running on the batteries we put in two days before Christmas. I was looking for a case for it, but then I realized how silly it is to have a case for an item that is supposed to be "kid tough" (see fisher-price). Please do not confuse this item with Disney Pix - this the Disney Pix JUNIOR. I hear the camera for older kids has horrible reviews; THIS one, however, gets top marks and my husband's a photographer and I do a fair amount of digital design work.

Great camera for kids, January 16, 2009
I agree with the previous review regarding the flash being VERY bright, but as long as the child is not too close to the subject it is not a problem. My daughter, who is 6, just got this for Christmas and she LOVES it. VERY user-friendly, simple, easy to hold, etc. The software that comes with it is fantastic. After trying two other "kids" digital cameras, we think this is the best.
