This is my first laptop and first purchase of a new computer in 5 years. I was surprised that there was no operating manual or any kind of paperwork with it which is a bit frustrating. There is also no system software. You have to go online to get answers to any questions. I do like the large keyboard and the screen is excellent. It is heavy, but I expected it to be given the 17" screen size. I don't expect it to be sitting on my lap that much, it will replace my slowing dying Dell PC. I hate Vista, but I suppose I'll get use to it. It comes loaded with lots of crap software like AOL. Overall a good buy for the price.
