2008 two disc (CD + PAL/Region 0 DVD) release, a musical summary of the 23 year old British singer/songwriter's journey so far with 17 songs on the CD including 'The Closest Thing To Crazy', Nine Million Bicycles', 'What A Wonderful World' (with Eva Cassidy) and three previously unreleased bonus tracks. The bonus live DVD was filmed earlier this year in Rotterdam. Highlights from her three previous albums are joined by 'When You Taught Me How To Dance', from the film Miss Potter, and three new songs recorded for this album release: 'Toy Collection' (written by Katie for the MySpace film 'Faintheart'), 'Somewhere In The Same Hotel' (a slow, bluesey song co-written by Katie) and 'Two Bare Feet' (a brand new, up-tempo, foot-tapping Katie co-write). I stumbled onto Katie Melua a few weeks ago while looking for something else and am so glad I did. Her voice is like a songbird and I enjoy her song writing too. She reminds me somewhat of the late Eva Cassidy and her duets with her are stunning. Why she isn't better known in the U.S. baffles me then it dawned on me..she can actually sing.

This CD/DVD set is a great introduction to her work, kind of a greatest hits or best of so far. I think the DVD that comes with this set is a European version but it plays fine in my DVD player and laptop. I hope she comes to the U.S. soon it will be a must see concert for me!

Living in the USA I was unable to attend this tour. However I pre-ordered The Collection when it was about to come out. Gosh I am glad I did. The CD is good but the DVD WOW. This is not only one my favorite Katie realted items I own but it is probably my favorite concert DVD. What a concert. It shows Katie at her best. So many great songs on the DVD it is great to see these songs performed live. I can only imagine what is was like being there. Also outstanding video and audio quality. The "Behind the Screens" bonus is also quite enjoyable to watch. I hope Katie and Co. keep making outstanding items like this in the future. No problems at all playing it on my computer.

I bought this for a friend of mine in California and she was so disappointed she could not play it.

Amazon confirmed: "Please note that Region 2 DVD will play only in United kingdom and it will not play in United States. Only Region 1 DVDs will play in United States. I apologise that this was not made clear in our website."

Just check before you buy.

Other than that, just a fabulous collection. Katie at her best.
