Fantastic Bag!, December 20, 2008
I needed a sturdy, roomy bag for my craft / art supplies for my new needle felting hobby, and I just loved the look of this bag when I found it on Amazon. Actually, I found the pink one first, and then saw that there was a blue one, which I preferred! :D Anyway, the bag arrived today, and I am very pleased with the product. It really is a nice looking tote....doesn't feel cheep or look cheesy at all.
The bag is well-made with study, carrying straps that fit nicely in the hand, and it is not too heavy (by itself--the weight changes of course when you add you stuff in it! LOL ). The bag is cleverly designed with the casual (or weekend) art / craft person in mind because there's a variety of nifty pockets and compartments to store creative tools and materials. The wide center compartment is great for storing craft directions, guides, templates, pictures, patterns, books, OR even your needle felting foam pads if they are not too large. Just playing with the dimensions, I was able to place a bag of pipe cleaners in that same compartment with no worries.
People who might find this tote useful...
1) Needle Felters & Doll Makers
2) Scrapbook & Card Makers
3) Knitters & Cross-Stitch folks
4) Homeschooling parents who want to create a mobile art kit
5) Teachers & Teacher Substitutes
6) Pencil-Pen / Sketch Artists
7) Moms, Grandmoms, & Babysitters who want to create a "rainy day" project bag
8) Beginning Bead-Craft / Jewelry Makers
9) Girl Scout Troops / Clubs
10) People who like small crafts like suncatchers, foam shapes, kid's crafts
11) Parents who want to keep up with Playdoh, MoonSand, and other such items
12) It's a great tote for anyone who has lots of little items that need a home
For little children who like miniature toys, figures, and dolls, this might make a fine, portable "play basket," especially to take to Grandma's house. For teens who like to do stuff like that Bedazzler art, this bag might be an appropriate storage place.
Folks who are heavily into arts / crafts (and who do a lot of traveling with crafts) and folks with very small, curious children may prefer a larger, more robust tote with more close-able / lock-able pouches and a securing lid or top.
For my purposes, though, it suits me well. I was able to place all my "beginning" needle felting materials in the bag with room to spare. I don't expect to be a power-user or grand artist anytime soon! LOL So, I have room to grow with this bag. All in all, it is a great product for its intended uses. Decide what you need a bag for then select the appropriate model that accommodates your interest, talent, and spacial needs.
