I returned two of these mice because the forward and backward buttons did not work. I ordered the mouse to use with a MacBook Pro based on the stated Mac support for this product. The mouse paired flawlessly, tracking was excellent, and the scroll wheel functioned well. The mouse is surprisingly light, and it fit very well in my hand.

When I contacted Iogear support to inquire about the forward and backward buttons not functioning, they were very courteous and stated that the mouse is defective and should be returned. So, I exchanged the mouse for another one. Well, the new one had the exact same problem, so I became suspicious that this is a compatability issue. I asked if this was a driver/software issue, and Iogear support reiterated that the mouse is supported on the Mac and that I should again return the mouse for a replacement. I was not going to waste any more time, so I exchanged the mouse for another model altogether. Buyers should note that Iogear has no drivers for this mouse, so there is no ability to customize button functions beyond the most basic options provided by your operating system.
