I am not a fighter. My frail physique, tender skin, and unusually brittle bones could never endure the grueling physicality of an actual rumble. It wasn't terribly uncommon for me to be run out of local restaurants or even my favorite BBQ establishment by stronger men. I decided about six weeks ago that I wasn't going to tolerate that sort of treatment any longer. Since actual training was out of the question, I found myself looking for alternative solutions. Since most of the men who picked on me wear ornately embellished UFC shirts, I figured that would be a good place to start. Guess what? It worked! The combination of an ill-fitting black t-shirt with excessive decoration and shaping my eyebrows into a more menacing configuration has mostly kept the bullies at bay. Although my wardrobe now solely consists of shirts with tough sounding slogans, I have found that this particular shirt outperforms the rest. I think the addition of the words "American Arrogance" is a subtle nod to the fact that hard work is the key to success.
