Soft Hake brushes make very expressive strokes when used with encaustic. Quickly lay down broad smooth strokes; or use them to build up textures and layers. Made from goat hair and wood. Tied and glued tightly so hair will not fall out. Hake brushes are made for ink and watercolor- mediums that do not require solvents- so they are also ideally suited to encaustic wax paint.
