Music that is more than excellent-, September 28, 2008
Having listened through Amy Kuney's CD 'Bird's Eye View' quite a few times over a short period of time, I can honestly say that this is an album that continues to entertain with it's diversity and the skill of Amy Kuney's beautiful voice. There is not a single song on the album that I feel the need to skip over. It is continually interesting, quiet and moving at moments, and lyrical and loud at others. The lyrics also are different than what one would normally expect, staying away from conventional trappings. Songs like 'Simple Things' and the title track 'Bird's Eye View' are songs that I will never tire of, and represent a quality that I've been missing lately in music. Overall, a wonderful, beautiful album.

Exceeds expectations -- a must have!, January 30, 2009
Young singer-songwriter, Amy Kuney's Bird's Eye View is a fabulously refreshing colletion of very singable, spirited songs - especially Rocket Surgery, Thank You For Last Night, and Will You Miss Me. Each song on Bird's Eye View leaves you eager for the next. The first song, Simple Things, is absolutely beautiful -- amazing lyrics! Throughout the CD, Amy's sweet, sometimes husky voice entertains the listener through her creative lyrics and hook-layden melodies that I would describe as universally appealing. Give this young artist a little more exposure and she's sure to soar! Keep this CD in your car so you can sing along with Amy!

Birds are cattle of the sky. moo., January 29, 2009
Amy Kuney is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter that you should be familiar with if you aren't already. Her biggest supporters include Damien Rice and Kate Voegele and she has played at clubs in New York and LA that feature new singer-songwriters. Even after only a few spins (okay, I played it a lot), Bird's Eye View already plays like some of the classic singer-songwriters of the 1970s like Court and Spark and Late For The Sky. Amy's songs have a simple elegance, a romantic lyricism and are very memorable and immediately catchy. Excellent musical performances by all involved, impeccable arrangements and production make this album a great listen. Amy's songs are well-crafted, polished gems that invite repeated listens. Highlights include the prayerful Angel Tangled In The Telephone Line, the bouncy and jaunty Would You Miss Me, and the obvious pick for hit single, Thank You For Last Night. And the excellent title song.
