Description of the 2 hour drum rhythms DVD, April 12, 2009
The 101 Drum Circle Rhythms DVD was released in 2007 on DVD. It has a run time of 2 hours. Interesting and fun hand drumming rhythms from around the world. African, Belly Dancing, Afro-Cuban, Native American, Jamacian, Taiko, Latin, Funk, Soul, R & B, and Rock & Roll. Each rhythm is about a minute long, plenty of time to really get into them. These rhythms are ideal for drum circles, belly dancers, drum circle facilitators, interactive drumming, fire spinners, hulahoops, band gigs, learning to drum, just jamming alone, or with friends. It's handy to have a large body of reference material to draw from. -
A great way to keep a drum circle fresh, fun, and interesting week after week, is to have lots of fun different rhythms to play. This DVD is an ideal resource for you. All you need is the right drum for yourself. One that's right for your hands, your body, and your soul. No matter what your musicial skill level is, 90 percent of the people I work with only need one drumming lesson to get them started on their drumming journey. But it's more important that they find the proper drum that is right for them. Different styles of drums work for different kinds of people. There is one out there that's right for you. A DVD of rhythms to practice to is great, and then it's off to the drum circle where you get the best drumming lessons. Just watch what the others do. -
This 2 hour DVD was professionaly recorded in a production studio, It's a lot of material. These ethnic drum beats are challenging enough for intermediate level to experienced musicians, yet easy enough so that someone new to hand drumming can grow into them. It's better to grow into something, that out of it. These are great for getting a drum circle started, or keeping a weekly drum circle interesting and fresh. The focus was on giving you as much material as possible on a single DVD.

This DVD is wonderful for learning new rhythms and also improvising with. I am a beginner and have found that it works well for me!

I own the DVD, "101 Drum Circle Rhythms" and love it. It has a wealth of drum rhythms to add to any drum circle. I learn best by watching, and the techniques used on the DVD are very helpful. Each rhythm is shown for long enough amount to allow you to pick up the rhythm and play along. I am very pleased with the versatility of the drum rhythms. This DVD is an asset for anyone who plays hand drums, especially in a drum circle, and has something for everyone - from the basic to advanced drummer. This DVD has been a great tool for me and it is well worth the investment.
