Tired of all those plastic baggies filling school or work lunch boxes? This fabric alternative works perfectly for packed lunches, travel snacks or any other item that needs a secure container. These bags are fabric inside and out avoiding the use of any plastic material. Although they are not to be used for liquid (i.e. soup) or soft fruit items (i.e. raspberries due to staining) they can be used to contain most lunch box items. Even a gooey PB&J or turkey sandwich will stay contained in this bag. A simple washing after its use will remove any extra gooeyness that has been contained by the fabric. These bags are made of 100% cotton twill. These bags can be machine washed and dried or handwashed with the dinner dishes and hung to dry for use the next morning. Each bag has a strong and secure hook and loop closure, yet easy enough for even the littlest of hands to open. 2 large bags, 2 medium bags and 1 small bag. Dimensions (exterior): large bag- 6.25 X 6.25 inches medium bag- 4.75 X 5.25 inches small bag- 2.5 X 5.25 inches Not intended for long term food storage.

This set of reusable snack bags is so great. Not only are they super cute, they are also really well made. The big size is perfect for a sandwich and the littlest is about the size of a snack size ziploc-type bag. My 3 year old daughter has no problem opening these bags, yet they are secure enough that pretzels and cookies and sandwiches don't fall out. There's a ton of us using reusable lunch sacks and grocery bags, but what about the bags inside those cloth lunch sacks? This is a wonderful way to take your green livin' ways to the next level. And, it's pretty thrifty too. Think about how many plastic bags you'd save and in the long run. . .that's heaps of money saved on those plastic bags too. Oh, and they are organic cotton, so you're not putting your kids' food in plastic. Awesome.

I loved the idea behind these little bags! Which is why I purchased it. The sizes match up with the sandwich and snack size zip-lock bags. I also liked the print on these too. I'm pretty sure however that if there's a person who's handy with a sewing machine then they could probably whip up a few of these bags in no time. I'm not crafty like that so it's easier to buy it. They was easily in the sink and air dry over night...ready for morning lunches. The only downside is that they're not leak proof. If you pack a sandwich and the mayo or jelly drips out it's going to go straight through the bag. It would be nice if they sewed in a plastic liner to prevent that...Even though the idea is to STOP using plastic but at least it would be plastic that was reused over and over again. Long story made short, these bags are great for dry items or non-drippy items.

Check out Eco Lunch Gear. They use a nylon liner that won't leak mayo or jelly. It's just as easy to wipe clean and open fully to get rid of crumbs. She uses organic cotton in cute patterns. These are my go-to everyday cold lunch wrappers. No more baggies in our house!
