The Sharx Security SCXMC104 card is based on the world's best selling security video chip. When combined with the separately purchased PICO2000 software, it allows viewing and recording of up to 4 security cameras on your computer, with or without motion detection. PICO2000 software also allows remote viewing and recording over the internet with the free RemoteModule add-on software. Up to 8 separate people can connect at the same time over your local network or the internet to see your cameras, with or without password protection. This card has also been tested with open source and Linux software, as well as the free Windows Media Encoder software from Microsoft, however Sharx support is limited to the use of this card with PICO2000 software on 32 bit versions of Windows XP and Vista only. If you have a 64 bit version of XP or Vista please order the Sharx SCXSC200 DVR card or a Sharx IP camera instead. This DVR card and the matching PICO2000 software are only for 32 bit versions of XP and Vista. Card ships in OEM white box.

i don't know much about these cards. but it was recommended to me by sharx,and lemme tell ya, it was easy to install and easy to use the software that goes with it. i am very happy with the products and plan up getting more sharx cameras.
