The overall video quality is comparable to the logitec camera I got for $20

Good:
The set up went fine -- follow the instructions, just don't plug and pray...
After set up, the device works well
The video seems a little slower than I would like to see.
It is good to have the indicator light so you know when it is activated.
It is good to have it rotate downwards so that you know it is not pointing at someone.
The backlight compensation worked ok for me.
The autofocus worked ok which may be helpful if you are moving around, but otherwise somewhat distracting.
The audio works OK.

Bad:
The package did not include the hands-free headset as promised.
The mount did not fit our flat-screen monitor very well as I had to use tape to keep it in position.
The video frame rate seems somewhat slow.
The price point seems high for what you get.

I did not expect much and was not impressed or disappointed.

This webcam is the earliest model to offer autofocus. It is a bonus to have but when you take the video, it takes a slight delay to autofocus. Quality is good for VGA (640x480) but don't expect any 2MP quality as claimed, virtually impossible. I only managed to capture still shots at 2MP and video quality above VGA (such as 800x600)has frame rates so low that the video action is retarded. The noise cancelling feature when activated managed to cancel off some background noise. However, when the video is recorded, audio sounds some what artificial. Thus, compared to 2MP claim and noice cancelling feature, video and audio quality is subpar. And pricing wise, I think it is way too high for this webcam, it still lacks the value for money. The installation process is a breeze, which is a plus. Another plus is that it can hook nicely onto notebooks' LCD screens. Firmware and software updates don't expect any future updates as Creative is not likely to focus on webcams development.

I just installed my Creative Live!Cam Optia AF camera with all the latest software and drivers. I am very disappointed in its performance. My office is well lit, and at a resolution of 320x240, the best frame refresh rate I can get is 5 frames per second. The motion is stuttery and jerky, and completely unusable.
