I LOVE this DVD live with great sounds and fun to watch over and over again. I became a much bigger Nightwish fan after viewing this. So many great songs and so many songs I haven't heard of but I loved it. Here are the list of songs. You will enjoy this DVD.

I got this DVD for Christmas last year and I've seen it more than 10 times already! This is pretty much the BEST concert DVD that I own. The production, the music, the cinemetography, all amazing. Tarja's voice is powerful and many of the songs sound even better than the album versions, especially Phantom of the Opera which is amazing here. The only downside to this show is how emotional the ending leaves you,knowing that this is the last time we will ever hear Tarja with Nightwish.

I saw Nightwish on an internet music video channel in December 2008. I knew this was a band I had to check out. I went to YouTube and watched some of their stuff and then decided I had to have the End of an Era dvd. I classify it as mature rock, not kid stuff. The female singer, Tarja, left the band after this concert and Nightwish now has another singer. The new singer gives the band a pop sound instead of the mature, sofisticated sound when Tarja was the singer.

The dvd is great! The sound is five stars and the video is also great. My only complaint is the camera work and video editing suffers. There are some blured shots and several times when the video zooms in and out really fast. I guess they think it adds something to the music, but it is actually quite distracting. There is also fast editing. Switching camera shots three times a second takes away from the enjoyment of the concert, but thankfully it doesn't happen in every song.

I give the dvd five stars because this version of Nightwish gives a refreshing, mature, and sofisticated rock concert. Some of the songs even qualify as metal.
