I admit that I have only got two episodes into Season 1 of Rocco’s Dinner Party hosted by Rocco DiSpirito but I intend to post another update by Christmas at the latest (ideally a few days before that once I watched the remaining episodes). However, just from the two episodes that I watched so far I have gleaned the following details; Episode 1 of Rocco’s Dinner Party has a Speakeasy Dinner Party Theme. The 3 chefs that feature in the first episode are; Geoff Johnson who proclaims himself a Jersey Boy and is a chef at the restaurant Copperfish on Broadway. At the time of the filming of Season 1 of Rocco’s Dinner Party Geoff Johnson had worked as a chef for 19 years and considers cooking akin to being a composer conducting a music orchestra except instead of composing music he is composing via his cooking (reluctantly I admit that I might have mixed up what he originally said on that episode). Britt Kurent lives in New York City and is the Owner of Kurent Event Catering. J.J Johnson is an executive Sous Chef for an executive dining facility. The episodes also feature Celebrity Event Producer (Event Planner) Jes Gordon. The winner gets $20,000 for throwing the best dinner party. The following are some of the celebrity/famous guests from this episode; Michael Kenneth Williams Actor HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Kelly Choi Host & Producer Eat out New York, Christine Ebersole Tony Award Winning Actress , Bryan Batt Interior Decorator and an actor who was featured in the Mad Men television series, Bill McCudy Media Critic [...], Marcus Samuelsson Top Chef Masters Champion & Owner Red Rooster. J.J. had just ate at the Red Rooster a few days before which was a pleasant surprise to him the Marcus Samuelsson was one of the Dinner Part Guests.Read more ›

It was an exciting show. Very entertaining and hilarious thanks to that women who should have WON, Natalie Stone!!!
She was the SHOW. and as for some mishaps, like the dinner guest who was a vegetarian and another who did not eat raw fish. Rocco should have known straight up from the beginning if his quests had any specific dietary restrictions, his responsibility!! The chefs did not need their nerves rattled any more then they already. The server who could not follow specified orders concerning that vegetarian guest, should have gotten the backlash for serving that vegetarian bacon in her appetizer ... NOT Mrs. Stone's fault!!

Overall a Great, entertaining and educational Show ... BUT was a Bummer-Bomb at it's end due to Natalie Stone not being announced as their Winner :( I'm sure many other viewers felt the same way.. and that's excluding any of her friends or Family.

Love this show, love Rocco, love that I can download it on AMAZON.com. I am on Rocco's Now Eat This Diet and actually watch this show WHILE I am walking or jogging. That equates to about 44 mins of cardio, a hot host, plus yummy tv food (the safest and most calorie free kind). The combo was given me lots of success. Down 17lbs...whoo wee! Thanks to this show for getting me through those workouts.

Great show to watch by yourself or with other foodies!
