This is my 1st time seeing this show. So these thoughts are just 1st impressions.

Although the program doesn't state it, this was an imperfect couple from the jump. The wife said she got pregnant a month after they met. This show reminded me a lot of women's narratives about husbands who come out as gay, HIV+, or both. I did wonder why the husband didn't mention transitioning to his future wife from jump. Also, the wife is only 22 and I'm not convinced she was mature enough to be a mom.

This couple acknowledged that they live in the Bible Belt. I think it is so important for viewers to see that transgender issues are not just "some San Francisco thing." It affects the entire nation. Still, both spouses have these boring, monotone voices that were difficult to listen to. Plus, much is missing here. The husband comes out to his mother and we never see or hear from her. The show begin with words onscreen saying, "This show films live births" and then the hospital doesn't allow the TV crew to film.

The program has a SHOCKING ending. It may upset some transgender activists and make some far-righters think people can easily "change." Plus, I don't believe the husband. I think after the novelty of being a parent fades, he's gonna start sneaking dresses and makeup home. I highly doubt his feelings are "out of his system." A 22-minute show might not be the greatest vehicle for showing a phenomenon so complex.

The shows offers different women in many stages of life having babies and some of them shouldn't be having kids but the women go forward and do it any way. The show is honest and there is no extra drama. The women tell the story and the camera observes., good bad and inbetween. I wish the show was on longer.

A little person is pregnant. The father won't be in the picture. However, the program frustrated me because they never said whether the mother took his butt to court. If she hasn't she should. They seem like a Hispanic family, but the mother gives the child an entirely English name. I kinda wonder if they were hardcore Roman Catholics and if they didnt' approve of a woman in the family being preggers out of wedlock. But I also wonder if her being a little person makes her the exception to their usual rule. As soon as you see the baby, you will know he's a "normal" person. I really think folk may want to compare and contrast this episode to the one where the expectant father is a little person. Now I must be honest, because the mother was Latina, a little person, and had a tattoo, it made me think of porn actress Bridget the Midget. The mother had this hot, hunky, beefy male relative. When they show the baby being born by C-section, it kinda looked like his umbilical chord was wrapped around his head, but there is no mention of that as a complication. The show said little expectant mothers must have C-sections. That makes me wonder what did those women do in the days before that procedure was safe. The expectant mother had a nephew that seemed androgynous.

he is expecting a baby, she grew and delivered the child, but they create nonsense to avoid the natural event. . Narrates like a distraction form her creating a child and their preparation for raising one.. Dramatic fit to get attention for himself. so much worry about the future of their relationship.
