Amazon's description of this film as a James Bond "spoof" is inaccurate.
It is in fact a remarkably audacious James Bond rip-off.

To date there have been 23 "Official" James Bond Films: Bond 50: The Complete 23 Film Collection with Skyfall [Blu-ray]
These films were produced by Cubby Broccoli or the Broccoli family (Eon Productions).

There are three "unofficial" James Bond films:
1954: "Casino Royale" - starring Barry Nelson: James Bond Casino Royale (1954)
1967: "Casino Royale" - starring David Niven: Casino Royale (1967) [Blu-ray]

I must say that I agree with the first review of this movie. It IS NOT a spoof, it is more like a spin-off. It delivers a lot of the James Bond appeal and I enjoyed watching it.

Neil is no Sean but I would say that I was very impressed with the action sequences which he did a very good job in. The girls are beautiful, the sets are lavish (not as good as a Broccoli production though) and the same actors are there to give the film a continuity that I did not expect. It's almost as though there is a whole James Bond world that I was unaware of all of these years! Who knew?

If you're a Bond buff you'll enjoy this film at least for the new perspective it will give you and probably for the action and gizmos and all of that other Bond stuff that you love.

Wonderful! Yes, I'm repeating myself, but this is just SO good! Not a Sean clone, but the family resemblance is there. Everything is 007-ish. Characters from the series you'll recognize. The music is just a note or two from the James Bond theme. This movie relies on Dr. Connery's Mesmer skills and not on Q's toys. A bit over the top, but every story has to have one gimme, and this is it. Action, pyrotechnics, bad guys, beautiful girls. And while a satire, it doesn't fall into campy humor. If you are a Connery Bond fan, and enjoyed the Matt Helm and Flint movies, you will absolutely love this!

being a huge James Bond fan & a fan of Sean Connery it was a pleasant surprise to see Neil Connery (Sean's little brother) in a Bond spoof! If I am not mistaken M & Moneypenny are portrayed by the franchise actors. Some may not think this film is worthy of 5 stars but I rate movies solely by how entertaining they are based on there budget's, meaning if a B-rate movie entertains me I forgive the low expense & rate it by how well they did with what they had to work with. I give this 5 stars just for the novelty of getting to see Neil Connery. And to be honest it entertains, I am surprised I never heard of it before & I probably never would have had I not seen it on Amazon Prime. It is along the lines of the Bond spoof "Casino Royal" minus the big named actors. It has all the fun & farcey one could expect from a 007 comedy. & I wouldn't hesitate adding this to my Bond collection if I find it on D.V.D. ! If your a fan of 007 you should give this movie a chance. Having absolutely no presuppositions about it I enjoyed it very much.

Though they never say "Bond" nor "007" it is of that genre, but with a spaghetti swirl. This is no spoof nor parody, it is an excellent movie that should be part of the English spy family. Maybe more as an Italian cousin than as Connery's brother. I saw a lot of familiar faces from other Bond movies in this, if you're a fan you will too. I don't know if the actors were the same, but the faces sure were similar. AMAZON has a terrible description of this movie, watch this if you're a Bond fan, you'll enjoy the show.

This is a very strange make over of a James Bond type film. Have to admit I enjoyed watching this film.
What made it enjoyable was watching the same actors who were in the original Sean Connery bond films actually spoofing themselves I'm this James Bond rip off movie.
The amazing aspect of this film is the actor playing the bond like secret agent is played by Sean Connery's brother Neil. Plus a few of the bad guys are the same ones in Thunderball.
My advice is to watch this on YouTube on the mystery science theater. The jokes add to the enjoyment of the movie.
