This is a nice family movie-especially for people who adore dogs and especially shelties. One of the heartwarming aspects of the show, is how a gruff, old-fashioned grandfather and a somewhat irresponsible teen-aged granddaughter are able to compromise, overcome weaknesses, and grow to love each other.

I just love this family movie. I borrowed it from HOOPLA via my library but just had to own it. What a heartwarming tale of love and patience, both on the part of family members and the cute dogs. A must for a family, especially dog lovers.

This is a great, wholesome family movie. It has family bonds spanning several generations, it has teenagers learning to love more than their cell phones or iPods and, most importantly, it has adorable dogs doing adorable things. It's safe fun you can enjoy around Grandma and the kids, and even the teens will appreciate the cuteness of fluffy canines.

I have my nine year old grandson home from school today with the flu. He just finished watching My Dog the Champion and says it was GREAT! He also said "I want to read the book!". Since there is not a book I thought this was a great review. ! Thank you for making such a wonderful movie.

This is a fun, wholesome movie that any generation can watch together. Teen girls will like it because of Cody Linley. Teen boys will like it because of Dora Madison Burge. Adults will like it because of Lance Henriksen. Lance freakin' Henriksen! Cowboys will like it because of Texas. Everyone will like it because of the dogs. And grandparents will love to watch this with their grandchildren because there is no vulgar language. Unless you think "poop" is vulgar. If you do, DON'T watch this movie! I repeat, DO NOT watch this movie if you're offended by the word "poop!" Otherwise, this movie is for you!
