"We need a little less Forever 21 and a little more Suddenly 42." Kate (Fey) and Maura (Poehler) are sisters that are on opposite ends of life's spectrum. Maura seems to have her life together while Kate is floating. When their parents tell them they are selling their childhood home the two sisters decide to throw one last party. What begins as a way to relive their past turns into a way to help their future. I really love Tina and Amy but they seem to always do the same thing. I laugh every time but Weekend Update to Baby Mama they have always been funny but tame. This movie changes everything. The movie is crude, unexpected and absolutely hilarious. I laughed out loud over and over and the level of dialog is so quote worthy that this movie is well on its way to becoming a classic. If you liked Old School you will love this one. This is one of the funniest comedies I have seen in a very long time. Overall, finally a comedy that is hilarious, re-watchable and doesn't give away all the funny parts in the preview. This is a movie I can not recommend enough. I loved this movie. I give this an A+.

So funny! I loved that Tina and Amy played against "type." Tina played the wild child and Amy was the responsible one. I watched this by myself and I was laughing hysterically like a crazy person. John Cena was great, but I definitely could have done without Bobby Moenehan's character. Will watch this again with my sister!

Absolutely LOVED this movie! I saw it twice in theaters and several times since receiving the dvd. I pre-ordered this purchase and the price had dropped since my initial purchase, so they credited my account with the discounted price. It's full of laughs from start to finish. Tina Fey and Amy Pohler are priceless. Highly recommended!

It has to be tough as a comedian to generate new material these days. Fey and Poehler just seem to find that vein of untapped craziness together. There is nothing exceptional about this movie from a plot perspective and no huge surprises from twists, etc. But watch your funny bone... they tap it hard a few times... enough to say that those with a weak bladder should wear some huggies. It is not a continual parade of non stop funny... but it is close. The laughs come in spurts... which means you have time to recover your composure, wipe the soft drink from your nose and the coffee table and get ready for the next time that you launch pop corn across the room as you choke on your own chuckles.
Never sure what the difference is between the rated and unrated versions... but the language and sexual references in the unrated, and the symbolism are bad enough to say avoid watching this with the kiddies... no place for the prudish either.
If you like Fey and Poehler in everything else they do... you will love this one. Cheers girls! Thanks for the laughs!

OMGosh, my husband and I needed this laugh filled story of what sisters can do and shouldn't when reunited! Never a dull moment with these two and the rest of the cast were great also. Loved Mom & Dad (we know so many like this)! We laughed thru the entire film, Tina Fey and Amy did not fail to deliver with their antics!

Such a severe disappointment for these two wonderful actresses! I have loved these two on past movies, but this was so horrible! I wanted to love this movie but as it rolled on, it got worse, and worse, and I couldn't wait for it to be over! I never laughed or enjoyed any of their humor (I love sarcasm, and crass humor but this was stale!) The two actresses switched roles, Amy was the responsible character, and Tina was the irresponsible character. Maybe I would have enjoyed the movie better if I had a previous life of drugs, booz, partying and reckless behavior but I couldn't relate on any level. Its about a bunch of middle age people re-living their high school years, yet- no one has grown up. The script was less than par, and I'm usually not much of a critique but this was horrible. Please buy my copy of this movie, I'm selling it ASAP!

I liked this movie. I thought it was funny.

I see a lot of whiners who expect Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to be demure ladies hating on this movie. Tina and Amy are comedians, not repressed school teachers from 1950. If you have a problem with silliness and swearing-then why watch an UNRATED comedy-what were you expecting? Stick with the G rated stuff and hide your tiny heads in the sand, that way no one can hear your boring 'complaints'. And please stop reviewing stuff that is clearly just not for you. You're bringing everyone down.

However, if you like Bridesmaids, then you have a sense of humor and will probably find this movie funny. It's a little uneven but there's some quality laughs and a great cast. I thought it was worth the $5. One drawback it could have had more Maya Rudolph.

There are two things that will probably determine your opinion of this movie: the cast (I liked them - it was fun seeing Tina Fey play against type as an irresponsible party girl) and whether or not you like butt jokes and suggestive (make that explicit) drawings on walls (call me old fashioned, a little goes a long way). Five stars for giving grown women a chance to act stupid in a movie (most movies don't even have 2 women who *speak* to each other) - one star on content.
