This stereo's Mega Bass port speaker design integrates a common cavity speaker with front firing bass duct to provide a powerful, strong bass sound. The 4-pattern electronic sound mode can be selected when EQ appears on the LCD display, allowing you to automatically select an appropriate sound adjustment setting for listening to different types of music.

The clock/timer function lets you fall asleep to a CD or the radio and shuts the system off automatically after a preset time. The Remote Commander remote control with loop function can be used to control CD playback, volume, power and AM/FM tuning. This stereo's compact size and modern design make this an attractive portable entertainment center that is convenient to take just about anywhere.

Product Description

Sony's CFD-S47 is an aggressively styled one-piece boombox with a front-loading CD player. Although this is one of the more expensive boomers out there, the CFD-S47's sleek styling may just convince you it's worth its price. Still, the CFD-S47 isn't missing any essentials. The digital AM/FM tuner offers 20-location programming, as does the CD player. The CD also sports shuffle and repeat modes. The remote control handles everything but the tape, including the 120-minute sleep/wake timer and "Loop" sound effect. Loop continuously repeats a few seconds of music, and Flash provides intermittent sound play of music. There are also four EQ sound presets: "live, " "vocal, " "rock" and "pop."

Prefer this boom box to my Bose radio. Has a convenient remote and doubles as a clock radio with a sleep control. Like particularly the extended bass and the other five tone settings. Controls are up front and is CD front load with the tape on top. Although a chunky box, the design diminishes its thick look. Really worth the money.

I bought this to use at school to replace an old "cheapie" one that broke down after only a couple of years. Not wanting to make the same mistake twice, this time I looked for quality as well as value. It's simple to use, has great sound, is easy to carry around and doesn't take up much space on my desk. I couldn't ask for a better model to play my Spanish and French CD's and tapes on!

I just purchased this Sony Boom Box, and it is great! It is a handsome design, but more importantly the sound is terrific. I am pleased in every way. I am seriously considering ordering an additional unit for elsewhere in the house.
