Product Description

Amazon.com Review

One of Rösle's superb kitchen tools, this 9.8-inch cheese slicer has two replaceable wires set at different distances from the center post, permitting 4-1/4-inch-wide slices of different thickness. Prongs on the end allow users to pick up and serve slices. Like all Rösle tools, utensils, and Open Kitchen storage components, this cheese slicer is made of 18/10 stainless steel for rustproof beauty and long-lasting durability. The round handle has a satin finish to conceal finger marks. The handle is sealed against water and has a hanging ring so the cheese slicer can be conveniently stored on a hook in the Open Kitchen system of Rösle basic rails and Gridwalls or hung on any hook or peg. The cheese slicer is sturdy, balanced, and exceptionally comfortable in the hand. All Rösle products are made in Germany, are dishwasher-safe, and carry a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Product Description

This Rosle Wire Cheese Slicer is more than just a handy kitchen tool. Its a well-designed, heavy-duty utensil for those who value quality above all. Made of solid 18/10 stainless steel, the wire cheese slicer has a comfortable, rounded handle with an eyelet loop to hang from your Rosle Rail System. The sturdy wire slices cleanly through semi-soft cheeses like Gouda, Cheddar and Havarti, and the forked tip picks up slices so you dont have to touch the cheese. For premium-quality kitchen and bar tools, look no further than Rosle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for me, January 25, 2005
By Jet Builder (St. Louis, MO USA) - See all my reviews
My experience is markedly different than the other reviewers of this product. I have several different types of cheese cutters in my kitchen gadget drawer and find myself reaching for this more often than the others. I like the ability to change the thickness of the slices of cheese by rotating the handle in your palm to be an advantage. I also note that there is an adjustment for the cutting wire tension so that you can keep it tight over time. I will admit that my initial uses of the slicer were clumsy, but when used often this is a really cool tool. Perhaps it's not for everyone, but it's a keeper for me!

1.0 out of 5 stars Sleek looks but no performance, September 29, 2004
By G. Schultz "Kupuna" (Hawaii Island, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The wire broke after about three slices (of soft mozzarella), with no evident way to repair or replace it. Additionally, the stainless handle is too highly polished and easily becomes slippery. Leverage is not as good as the cheaper "T" shaped wire cutters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Cheese Cutter!
I would recommend this product to everyone. It is extremely easy to use. It saves lots of time and each piece of cheese is uniformly cut.

5.0 out of 5 stars In Defense of the Rosle Cheese Wire.
I have to admit I was a bit bewildered when I first received the Rosle Cheese Wire as a gift. Having only used a "T" cheese wire in the past I was skeptical. Read more
