4.0 out of 5 stars Great book for beginners learning the language!, June 28, 1999
By A Customer
This is a great book for beginners wanting to learn the Pascal language. It is easy to read and doesn't "squash you" with too many details. The chapters are broken into easily digestable pieces. One of the drawbacks to the book is it makes the assumption that you already have a basic understanding of the various mathematic examples in the book. Overall, this book is a good starting point for learning Pascal. It won't give you everything you need to sit down and start programming monster applications, but it will give you enough knowledge to be dangerous. You can start creating some pretty cool stuff right away after reading this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book to start with, June 22, 2000
By A Customer
It is really a good book to start with. Though you can't learn any language in three days but this book gives a push to start doing some thing. And most of the basic concepts are cleared with this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good entry book, October 18, 1999
By A Customer
Its probably a good introductory book for those wanting to study computer science at college. I have only taken a cursory look at the book, but I feel that it presents material in a simple and gentle manner. Recommended for all beginners.
