5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT BOOK FOR BEGINNER OR EXPECT CANNERS!!, October 12, 2000
By John Michael Lerma (SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Thanks to my grandmother, I have been canning since I was young. This cookbook caught my eye so I ordered it and have tried several of the recipes. They are all excellent and so easy to prepare. From jams to bread and butter pickles this very thin and colorful book contains a lot of extremely tastey recipes that your friends and family will love. The measurements are exact and the recipes easy to follow. Great for any cook that enjoys preserving or as a gift to someone who wants to try something different in the kitchen. I can't recommend enough!!!

By A Customer
This is a great book--I borrowed it from my sister-in-law and loved it so much I just ordered my own. It has great recipes and beautiful gift ideas, as well as a guide to general canning of all kinds of fruits and vegetables.

Very disappointing. Not much a selection of recipes. Very small book. I've bought other "Better Homes and Gardens" recipe books and this is definitely not their best.
