Wojnarowcz's life is presented in this slim volume composed of black-and-white drawings, varying text sizes, and an intentionally chopped up style devoid of punctuation, lending a snapshot-like, stream of consciousness feel to this brutal biographical work.

The writing style of this author makes you wonder if he ever learned anything, as far as grammar goes. But the illustrations in the book clearly indicate the kind of person that this author, if we can call him that, was. No, neither the writings (which I wouldn't categorize as being autobiographical, as it falls more under the categories of "personal essays" and "gay erotica") nor the illustrations (which would fall under the category of "gay art," and thus is not for the faint of heart) would be suitable for a "family-friendly" viewing. And that's being nice, considering the smut value that this book brings. If this book were to belong to any library, it would be safe to keep it as far from the children's section as possible. Quite frankly, I wouldn't know of any self-respecting public library that would want to hold this book. Because let's face it, this book is trash.
