4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent primer in the archaeology of Oaxaca, March 31, 2000
By John Van Drie (Cambridge, MA, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book was my guide as I recently toured the archaeological sites of Mitla and Monte Alban in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. I kept this book with me at all times, and in most cases it answered my questions, comprehensively and authoritatively (vs. the myths propagated by tour guides). But one does not need to travel to Oaxaca to appreciate this book.
