Promiss to be a series with legs-and tails. (Publishers Weekly) Endearing...resonates with charm...sleuth Beatrix positively shines. (School Library Journal)

The Tale of Briar Bank (the fifth Cottage Tale) is coming in September. Look closely at the cover. Is that really a dragon? I'm always amazed at what I discover when I begin the research for a new book, but I have to confess that The Tale of Briar Bank was more astonishing than most. I just finished reading and correcting the copy-edited pages (they're called "first-pass pages") for the book. The next time I see them, they'll be bound between covers. I can't wait! But meanwhile, I'm working on the sixth book in the series and enjoying it very much. Beatrix Potter is a delightful character, and the animals are great fun.

Our new Book Club Friends project is going very well. If you belong to a book club that reads mysteries, be sure and register your club for free books and other goodies. We've just drawn our first Lucky Monday book club winner, and we'll begin drawing in June for our Lucky Library Books-to-Go winner. Your club could be next!
