The Lord God Made Them All!, September 19, 2009
Weird & Wacky, Strange & Slimy Okay--kids of any age--open this book and jump out of your skin! Be ready for snakes that fly, spiders that hiss, birds that bark, even trees that re-bark! God designed each one of these strange creatures and gave them a place of importance on His earth.
Talented author, Bonnie Bruno has thoroughly researched over 120 of these "weird wonders of the world," and it is both fun and funny to read about them in her new book, Weird & Wacky, Strange & Slimy. You can even slip over to a cool "secret site" and learn much more! But she didn't stop with simply writing about God's strange, sometimes icky, creatures, she suggests you: "Tell a Friend." Then, not leaving you without something to say that connects the creature to the Creator, she suggests that you: "Read About It," then "Pray About It," giving you lots of extra facts to share.
Parents, this delightful and insightful book is one for your child's bookshelf. Librarians, teachers, anyone who loves children and appreciates the detail God put into His creation--this is a book for your bookshelves too. Read and enjoy!

Super-Duper Book!, September 1, 2009

Want to know why I am crazy about this book? It is exciting! Each page is packed full of funny information. I will not limit it to 8-12 year olds because adults will also learn with the kids. The three index sections are perfect for quickly finding information. While looking at a picture of something that resembled chocolate ice cream cones, I found the name of that odd thing and it grows in my front flower bed! Finally I can identify it. Bonnie Bruno, has written each weird, wacky, strange and slimy thing as if it was talking. For instance, the octopus told me things about himself that I might never know except for hearing him speak in this amazing book. Scripture and prayer end each story as Brunno relates the story to God's word and our prayers. You AND your children will be enriched as you read and re-read this fantastic book. Buy it today!
