Please don't waste your time and money like I have. This seemed an ideal book, but the software which is supplied which the book is supposed to take you through is the basic version. You have to pay an upgrade fee to get full functionality. Before you think 'that's ok - I only want a basic package', be aware that the basic package doesn't even allow you to burn dvds, despite the title of the book!
For info, the back cover states

'cd contains Easy Media Creator Basic VCD Edition 7 which allows you to create your own cds, VCDs, and DVDs quickly and easily.'

Clearly this product doesn't deliver what it promises. I wrote to the publisher several times regarding this but they have not responded. Buyer beware!
