As one of the founding members of the band Richmond Fontaine in 1994, Dave Harding has spent the last 13 years making critically acclaimed records with the band and touring extensively in the US and Europe. Harding has stepped out to make his solo debut, a 10 song collection of originals which showcase Harding's love of classic Americana music. Created as a tribute to a former friend and bandmate, ""Across The Road"" was produced by Mike Coykendall (Old Joe Clarks, M Ward) and features performances by members of Richmond Fontaine. The gripping songs of loss and hope will ring true for everyone who hears them.

...I decided this was a terrific album. Had the windows down, enjoying the majestic view, and thinking of how this reminded me of a Paul K record. And that's a very good thing.

Surprising roots rock classic from richmond fontaine bassist extrordanaire dave harding. lyrics/music mesh wonderfully, you will find yourself revisiting this cd often for it's stark honesty. who knew there were two artists like this in america's finest band. hope he publishes his richmond fontaine website commentaries "outta my head" in expanded book form. a damn fine cd.
