As with many bands I enjoy, I found Brothers and Sisters through their affiliation with ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead. A band that is one of my all time favorites and has always promoted great music with incredibly varied styles.

I purchased the first Brothers and Sisters album back at the time I first found them, it is a really great record and appropriately recorded in a way that sounds like a first record..well recorded but not highly produced or over done in any way, a great introduction to a band with strong songs, and a line up of solid musicians.

Of course this review is about the new album Forturnatly. This marks a huge step forward for the band in many ways. Every song on the album is perfectly crafted, there is nothing more or less than is needed to put forth the lyrical and emotional stamp on these songs. The band muscianship is flawless and the recording is perfect in its fidelity and its ablilty to sound so modern and yet so 'classic rock'.

Go to myspace to check them out, since I really can't describe in words the diveristy of the songs all tied together by this very consistent Brothers and Sisters sound, and I think you will purchase this album.
