Creating a Corporate Account

Schools, libraries, international corporations, and small-business owners alike are all welcome to create a corporate account at Amazon.com.

From the Corporate Accounts home page, simply click the button that reads "Open a corporate account." You can always access a link to the Corporate Accounts home page by clicking the Store Directory link at the top of any page of our store as well.

If you don't already have an Amazon.com account, you will be asked to provide an e-mail address and password for your account, as well as all other necessary account, shipping and payment information.

If you already have an Amazon.com account, you can use that e-mail address and password to sign in. Please note that you aren't required to establish a corporate account using the same e-mail address with which you established an existing personal account. You may create a corporate account using any valid e-mail address to which you have access.

At this time, account managers cannot limit the amount that is spent using a corporate account.

Primary Account Managers, Account Managers, and Buyers

The person who creates a corporate account will be the Primary Account Manager for the corporate account. After creating a corporate account, the primary account manager is the only person who can:

  • Apply for an Amazon.com corporate credit account to enable payment by purchase order
  • Edit business or institution information and account name
Primary account managers also have the ability to perform all account management functions that account managers can perform.

Account managers will be able to log in to the corporate account management area. From this area, all account managers will have the ability to perform the following account management functions:

  • Add and delete buyers
  • Add or delete payment methods
  • Add, delete, and change shipping addresses
  • Assign account manager status to other buyers
  • View order history for all orders on this account

After multiple buyers are added to an account, the primary account manager and account managers can grant account manager status to registered buyers via the participant page in the account management area. Click here for more information.

Buyers that are not granted account manager status will not have access to the corporate account management area. Buyers will be able to place orders using corporate account shipping addresses and payment methods for their corporate purchases. Click here for more on purchasing with a corporate account.

Return to Corporate Accounts home or your corporate account management area.
