Favorite Books

My most favorite books are the books published by Pathfinder Press, which maintains the heritage of working class, socialist, Black, women, and other fighters for justice, against capitalism, against Stalinism. I also love books that tell the truth about history and music that join Pathfinder among the many books reviewed here, as well as fine fiction and poetry that I rarely review.

Favorite Music

I love old time string band music especially Black string band music. I play guitar, fiddle, and banjo and am deeply involved in that scene online and am working to form a national non-profit foundation for Black Traditional String music players. I also love Jazz especially from the 20s through the fifties, am a fool about Western Swing, and could not live without the blues. I also own a couple Frank Sinatra Albums. Jerry Lee Lewis holds a special place in my musical heart!
