Product Description
At the age of five, Susannah Taylor Powers survived a tragic accident that killed 86 people, including her own parents. But the same miracle that saved her life transformed it into a battleground of fear, guilt, bigotry, lies, and rumor. The tales of Susannah's gift for miraculous healings trapped the grown-up Miracle Lady in a tango of fame and horror from which it seemed she would never escape.

And then the Miracle Lady disappeared.

The battle-scarred warrior who found her in an isolated area of the Rockies knew only that Susannah was a threat to the neglected heroes he had vowed to protect. He took her in and gave her refuge until the day he discovered the truth.

Angel in the Road is the story of a woman learning to embrace her power, a man coming to terms with his past, and the angel that brought them together.

5.0 out of 5 stars just try to put it down, July 15, 2006
Lynda Coble passed a copy of this, her first book, to a friend of hers that happened to be a friend of mine. We passed this book around the mah jong group in a matter of a few weeks. It isn't that the book is a fast read; it is just so impossible to find a place to stop and put it down for awhile. Very few books have captured my full attention the way this book did. I am delighted to see it here for sale. I have to read it again, I bet it will be even better the second time around. Also, Lynda's second book, Heartless, will be a fun read for anyone familiar with the Houston area. Loved it, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great first novel by a witty and insightful author, May 24, 2001

(REAL NAME)
This was a very enjoyable story, with interesting characters, continually intriguing plot developments, and an entertaining style. I read it from front to back in a matter of hours, looking forward to what might happen next. I hope to see many more such books from Ms. Coble.
