Product Description

The Calling is a new youth edition of God's Call and the perfect sequel to The Narrow Road. The Calling contains sidebar testimonies from Christians who are passionately living their lives for Christ in spite of intense persecution. These believers from around the world share their stories of listening to God's voice and being willing to respond to his prompting, no matter what the circumstances. Their courageous stories will encourage young readers to walk the narrow road with a renewed sense of joy and purpose.

From the Inside Flap

"Our faith in Christ must become a way of life, wherever we are. When that happens, it won't be long before you begin to see the entire world, and your part in it, with different eyes. You will discover that God is opening doors for you to serve him in ways you never thought were possible." Brother Andrew began his work in 1955 as a one-man mission-visiting, teaching, and taking Bibles to Christians behind the Iron Curtain. That work has since developed into Open Doors, a nonprofit organization with bases around the world. In 1997, Brother Andrew was the recipient of the World Evangelical Fellowship's Religious Liberty Award, recognizing his lifetime of service to the persecuted Church. When not traveling, Brother Andrew lives in the Netherlands with his wife, Corrie. They have five children and four grandchildren.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant analysis of faith in these difficult modern times!, March 30, 2007
Brother Andrew brings us stories of persecuted Christians all over the globe. With sensitivity and compassion, he presents their stories with exciting and terrifying details. Not a book for the faint of heart, or easily intimidated Christian! Another wonderful book by a truly God-inspired man!

5.0 out of 5 stars Truely inspiring, May 24, 2006
This is a wonderful book that I urge all Christians and non-Christians to read. Brother Andrew tells amazing stories of smuggling the Bible into nations where Christians are persecuted by their governments. The book is well written and entertaining. It is also inspiring to hear the stories of missionaries who risk their lives to bring the word of God to other believers around the globe. Brother Andrew and Open Doors do amazing things for Christians and reading this book will make you want to do amazing things for God, too!
