5.0 out of 5 stars Accelerates past the mediocre NLP attempts, September 4, 2001
By Joseph R. Plazo (http://www.xtrememind.com) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sleight of Mouth: The Magic of Conversational Belief Change (Hardcover)
Big fonts, humorous approach and a high-degree of practicability makes this book an easy read. You'd learn strategies like Chunking, Reframing and Heirarchy of Criteria which easily create environments of belief change and cooperation in almost any encounter.

In contrast to the more established authors on the genre, Dilts takes NLP from the "mysical heights" and magically transforms it into knowledge that total newbies can comprehend in just a day.

I'd recommend this for those who are actively involved in professions where counseling, motivation or leadership skills are necessary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yet another excellent book from Robert..., March 15, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Sleight of Mouth: The Magic of Conversational Belief Change (Hardcover)
If you want to learn to use the Sleight of Mouth patterns to create a world to which people want to belong or if you want to just improve your ability to influence yourself and others, this book provides an entertaining read and a thorough methodology to improve and enhance the ways you use language.

Robert is known for being respectful as much as he is known for his competence. These are some of the qualities that shine throughout the presentations of the patterns.

I've studied with some of the elite of this technology (NLP) and I place this volume with the best of the best of whats available.

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best books on NLP theory and practice, October 9, 2005
By o. fenech "signifier" (new york city, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sleight of Mouth: The Magic of Conversational Belief Change (Hardcover)
this is the kind of NLP book i love. one that covers the serious ideas and theories in a good conversational tone and references not just other NLP books, but outside sources and historical figures.
this is not another "self empowerment" book, this is about the concepts and dynamics of NLP.
