5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, April 9, 2004
By Joss Delage (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Satire at its best...

This is a great collection of C & F drawings. C & F clearly belong to the right (in all meanings of the term...) side of the political spectrum, being hard core capitalists, fiscal conservatives, strong on defense, and liberal in terms of government's role in social issues (minimal).

With this, they take on both the left and the Bush administration.

Their drawings advocate a hyper vigorous response to terrorism, and minimal intervention of the government in any issue other than protecting the rights of Americans.

Beyond this, the art belongs to the best of political satire.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most intelligent political cartoons you can find., October 5, 2004
By QED (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
I've been a fan of Cox and Forkum for a few years. I'm glad to see many of their cartoons compiled into this volume. There are no other political cartoons I've seen that are more consistently on point than those of Cox and Forkum.

In response to the negative reviews, I'll just quickly point out one fact neglected in one. Cox and Forkum's cartoons are in fact occasionally published in "reputable publications":

I see little need to comment further on the negative reviews posted thus far as they are clearly nothing more than smears and ad hominem attacks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great editorial cartoons!, March 28, 2004
By Martin Lindeskog (Gothenburg, Sweden) - See all my reviews
I first saw John Cox & Allen Forkum's editorial cartoons in a magazine called The Intellectual Activist. The great combination of John's spot-on images and Allen's hard-hitting text lines is truly unique. The cartoons are demanding your full attention and give you something to think about. Could you see the difference between good and evil?

You will find cartoons and commentaries on the following topics:
Osama bin Laden, War on Terrorism, Islamism, Israel, Yasser Arafat. George W. Bush, Leftists, Media, Politics, Economics, and Miscellaneous issues, e.g., America as the world police.

The book ends with an interview with Cox & Forkum. For more interviews and information, do a search online.

I look forward to Black & White World II, and I hope to see their editorial cartoons in a newspaper in the near future.

These guys are the best cartoonists I have ever read. Doonesbury is not worthy to shine their shoes. It is sad that such an idiot liberal is using the name of the great Tom Paine.
