Excellent. I found "PharmRepSelect - Your Complete Guide to Getting a Job in Pharmaceutical Sales" to be an in-depth, target-to-goal approach in learning the necessary skills for successful job interviewing.

The book is written in a very personal, pragmatic style that allowed me as the reader to immediately identify with the author on the purpose and correct methods to achieving interviewing success. It offers a unique approach that allows the reader to interject their own experience and background along the way to help form a logical, concise plan for a job interview. It definitely takes the guess work out of what an interviewing manager is looking for.

After reading the book and forwarding it to my nephew, it helped him secure a position as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for a top Pharmaceutical Company. He is a recent graduate of Syracuse University and had been interviewing unsuccessfully with a number of Pharmaceutical Companies. I believe this book, "PharmRepSelect" is an invaluable guide to anyone graduating college and entering the working world. It delivers to the reader the necessary skills to interview "correctly", which can save a lot on time, money and anxiety.

We utilize "PharmRepSelect" as a management guide to follow for hiring the best candidates for our company. This book would be an asset to any company or individual interviewing in the Medical Industry.

Prior to reading this book I felt I had a very good idea of what landing a pharmaceutical job would take. After reading the book I quickly realized that I may have been giving myself a bit too much credit. The Manger Surveys, sample interview questions, brag book suggestions, and follow-up chapters are the one's I found most informative. This book definitely taught me techniques that will help me stand out from the crowd both before and after securing an interview.

The service provided by Lisa Alexander and her staff have also been excellent. I have e-mailed Lisa and her staff approximately four times since completing the book and have received a reply within 24 hours every time. The questions she has answered and tips she has offered me via e-mail alone are worth the $29.95 I paid for the book.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone that is serious about entering the Pharmaceutical Sales Industry.

I wanted a job in this field knowing nothing about the business; I needed good information from experts. I read many book reviews for several "How to Get a Job in Pharmaceutical Sales" before purchasing any. I noticed happy people writing reviews because they had just gotten job offers from companies like Pfizer, Novartis and other big pharmaceutical companies. So I decided to buy "PharmRepSelect" because the author had directly worked and hired employees for these companies. This author currently sources, recruits for big Pharma and consults with candidates looking to improve their interview skills. So I knew I needed this information. So I bought the book. I read it in a very short time because it was fun to read. The personal stories from the author about what it is like to be a sales rep helped me understand the job. I used all of the information in this book during all of my interviews. Questions like, "Why do you want to be a Pharma Rep?" "Describe a difficult selling situation and how you knew when to give up" would have been impossible for me to answer had I not read PharmRepSelect. Having the ability, courage and confidence to ask for the job offer would also have been impossible if I did not read this book. Listening to the author pretend to be a candidate on "Interview Insight" CD was invaluable.

There are many books on this subject so the bar is set high, but I don't know of any others written by an author with these credentials. I learned just what I needed to know about the business of being a Pharma Sales Rep, how to get an interview, how to answer telephone and face to face interview questions. Lisa Alexander has been in the Pharma industry for many years and it's evident through her writing. She shares personal stories, manager surveys from her colleagues. You can only get this type of information from someone who has been in the business for many years. What makes PharmRepSelect the standard among all the books on this subject? There is no filler in this book, the information is accurate, timeless, and has a true message about achieving success.

It worked for me! I am now another "happy reviewer" working for as a pharmaceutical sales rep.

I didn't crack this thing open...I got in the mail and laughed. It's less substantial in stature than a magazine. It might be great, but for $30, I'm certain you can do better.
