Editorial Reviews

Product Description
This novel-much like my previous book, "Omens"-deals with adult themes of abuse and domestic violence. I find it abhorring that sex offenders "with a high likelihood of re-offending" are being put back in our societies, often near schools and day care centers. This novel, a curious blend of fact and fiction, serves to remind us that there are monsters in our midst-and at first glance, you probably wouldn't see them.Eric Watkins has recurring nightmares of his step-father, The Tall Man-though Eric hasn't seen him in years and still blames him for horrific abuses in the past.Unbeknownst to Eric, The Tall Man has been obsessed with writing a dramatic screenplay, "Glass," in which The Tall Man seeks revenge on Eric for destroying a once-happy home. When the two are brought together and the drama explodes onto the stage of reality, lives are irreparably altered-including that of a police chief who is caught in the middle.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Next Steven King, July 14, 2004
By Ivory (Dallas, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Glass (Hardcover)
I read this novel by Mr. Coleman and it ROCKS! I truly believe he will be the next Steven King. Don't get me wrong, I love Mr. King and have read ALL his novels and watched ALL his movies. But Coleman is on his way to the top and rapidly I might add. If you love a good suspense thriller you MUST read this novel. I am sure that once you start, you will not put it down until the last word has been read. I will very soon be purchasing the rest of the novels that Mr. Coleman has in print and will be waiting for the newest ones to be published. This is a must read, you will not regret!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Coleman is a master of the horror genre., February 6, 2005

(REAL NAME)
Within the first 5 pages, I was riveted by the various characters and thoughtful, precise style of writing. The dream sequences were especially haunting. "Glass" has a great chance of becoming one of the finest in its genre. I am looking forward to reading his other works. A very fine writer, indeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Glass" needs to be looked at, August 2, 2004
This is my first Coleman book and I found it to be a page turned. I spent the weekend reading "Glass" and was happy to have spent my time reading an excellent piece of fiction. It is on the dark side of life, but Coleman does a good job of keeping your attention. The story line alternates between the real and dream worlds of the main character, Eric. The author's ending is not your normal, "Everyone lives happily ever after" ending.

I believe that Coleman has a keen insight to the topics that he writes about and that brings some reality to an unreal story. It is a great read and I look forward to more books written by Jim Coleman.
