Concluding the sensual adventure begun with Sweet Savage Love, the romance that together with Kathleen Woodiwiss's The Flame and the Flower launched the historical romance revolution of the 1970s, Rogers reunites Ginny and Steve once again and lets the fun begin. But times have changed, and so have Ginny and Steve; while there is plenty of romance and adventure, and the attraction between the pair still crackles, this story does not have the cutting-edge appeal of its predecessors. Nevertheless, it is an important book, and fans of the series will be thrilled to have their favorite characters together one final time.

As this steamy romance opens, star-crossed lovers Steve Morgan and Ginny Brandon Morgan are reunited in London after years of forced separation. This tumultuous reunion is marred by the need for Steve to go to Mexico and fight battles with the Texans; headstrong Ginny comes along, only to be kidnapped, so Steve has to rescue her. Colleen Delaney's superb acting makes the characters come alive, complete with emotions that will sear listeners' ears and hearts.
