Discussing the basics that apply throughout the book, the introduction includes fully illustrated sections that identify tools and materials, offer tips on construction techniques, and suggest ways to mount a birdhouse. Children are advised to have an adult operate the power drill; otherwise, only hand tools are used. Each project begins with a colorful photo of the finished birdhouse and a list of materials. What a wonderful craft book for both kids and adults. If you love to watch the birds in your yard, this is the book for you to make some creative, unique, and bird-friendly bird houses! The instructions were easy to follow, and most items you will probably already have around the house. The whole family got involved in making a few of these, and the birds have appreciated our efforts! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to make a special place for their flying friends!
