The Karel and Andrew show on KFI was an instant hit and was hailed by USA Today as "wildly popular and irreverent" and by the Los Angeles Times as "the freshest breath of air Los Angeles radio has had in years." The show continued until 2001, when Andrew died unexpectedly. His columns and reviews appear regularly in The Advocate, Billboard, and The Orange County/Long Beach Blade and on Advocate.com. He lives in Long Beach, Calif.
