Encompassing Gender is an anthology of more than 40 essays by 60 scholars, many of them working in groups that cut across the humanities, the sciences, and the social sciences, all of them committed to an interdisciplinary approach to internationalizing the curriculum. Janice Monk is executive director of the Southwest Institute for Research on Women (SIROW) and adjunct professor of geography at the University of Arizona. Deborah S. Rosenfelt is professor of women's studies and director of the Curriculum Transformation Project at the University of Maryland, College Park.
